Question
Bill Gates said recently that TVs will become extinct in the next decade. Do you agree?
TVs as they are today will be replaced by sleek, carryaround compact sized pocket TVs...Do you see them around in years? Or Billy boy is just speculating??
Answer
Yes I do see them around in years...brbrWho wants to watch a pocketsized TV all day long?brDo you?brOr do you want to park it in front of a HUGE picture with Surround sound like you see and hear in a movie theater?brbrThats why TV will never disappear.brbrNow what I expect to see....is a merging of technologies.brThe computer merging with television.... way communications with Televisionpurchasing items on TV will become normal. Doing work at home will become normal. Playing games on TV will become normal....hasnt it happened already?brbrThen, your cell phone will become your TV away from home...thats happening too...brbrIf you have a computer, youre capable of watching TV on it.....brbrSEE THE MERGING OF TECHNOLOGIES here?brbrIf anything happens, the computer will kinda disappear, if TV starts to incorporate the microprocessor and develops dowloadable software the customer selects, rather than the manufacturer....that would be the Death Knell for computers.brbrNobody will chuck the cell phone....we all think we need it.
