Am I being bullied by a teacher?

Question

Am I being bullied by a teacher?
I have a teacher who humiliates me! Today she told everyone she would show them their current grades in Math. As my name came up, she skipped it, my friend pointed it out that she had, too. And their was no reply. She made no effort to tell me my grade, but everyone heard theres. I was upset. So I went to her desk, and calmly asked quot If youre not busy, could you let me know my math grade and what I owe?quot She said quotYes Ill print it out in a minute, but dont you have acsess from home?.quot Which I do, but everyone got their grade except me! I mean come on! At dismissal time, I never received a paper nor any sort shape or form of a grade from her. Another thing is she passed back papers with a of on them. I went on my grade system at home, since she didnt give me my grade, I owed things! and one of the papers she passed back as , she never pt in the grade book, so now its left as a ! And I have proof! Im so confused as why Im her target. As a mature teacher she makes herself to be, she certainly doesnt act it, and if she were shed be letting kids know what they owe to Help like theyre supposed to. This is a th grade class, my mom knows, and business is gonna go down, and its not going to be good.

Answer

Unfortunately teachers are only human. There are good ones and there are bad ones, just like in any profession. Most teachers have their heart in the right place and are there for all the right reasons. A few, however, have no business doing what they do. You have to have a lot of patience and really love what you do to be a teacher. brbrAll teachers have favorite and least favorite students, though most are professional enough not to show it. For whatever reason there may be something about you that rubs this teacher the wrong way. Its not your fault and if she is not professional enough to overlook whatever her little pet peeve is, maybe its time for her to find a new profession. brbrSince there is nothing you can do about this, try to hang in there and use this as a life lesson. Youre most likely going to run into at least one or two bosses like this, too, when you are older. brbrAs far as the missing grade goes, it might be a good idea to have your mom bring this up if possible. Try to ask her to approach this as positively as possible, rather then make this even worse for you by causing hard feelings with your teacher.
